DISCOVER THE HIDDEN SONGS AND LOST STORIES OF 20TH CENTURY INDIGENOUS LIFE ON THE MISSIONS IN THIS ENTERTAINING AND ENLIGHTENING MUSICAL EXPERIENCE

Some of Australia’s best-loved singers – Jessie Lloyd, Emma Donovan, Deline Briscoe and Jessica Hitchcock – invite you to discover Australian Indigenous songs that reflect life on missions in the 20th century.

Award-winning composer and performer Jessie Lloyd is dedicated to the continuation of story and song through the performance of Indigenous music. As part of the Mission Songs Project she has travelled Australia in search of hidden songs and lost stories from the days of the missions. This rare narrative, connecting the traditional with the contemporary, will be brought to life in one entertaining and enlightening musical experience.

Mission Songs Project is presented by Queensland Music Festival, Brisbane City Council, The University of Queensland and State Library Of Queensland.
